Ways to help

AWPT receives grants from the Animal Welfare Board of India and Tamil Nadu State Government but this funding covers only a fraction of our expenses. Further, the grants are released only after the expenses are incurred and the accounts submitted. Therefore, we depend on contributions from patrons and compassionate citizens in the form of donations, food and medicines. The recent economic downturn has severely affected our monthly donations and we’re in desperate need of your help. Our animals will be grateful for any contribution, no matter how small, for every little bit goes a long way in improving the quality of their lives.

Our accounts are audited by a reputed Chartered Accountant. Donations to our organization are eligible for exemption under 80(G) of Income Tax Act.

Rice* - Our monthly requirements get fulfilled to some extent through rice donations from our patrons, apart from which we also spend a sum of Rs.1200 for the rest of the rice requirements.
